Designed and delivered by inspirational communicators, marine scientists, ecologists and experienced educators, our collection of educational workshops, resources and talks can be tailored to a range of age groups, backgrounds and abilities. Curriculum linked and in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, we can work with you to create bespoke educational experiences that not only deliver your required learning outcomes but also give the participants hope, agency and ambition to be the ocean ambassadors of the future.

At OrcaNation, our experiential learning programmes—whether on or off-campus—combine the best aspects of outdoor and environmental education. We craft each activity to be fun, challenging, and engaging for students of all ages, transforming learning into an exciting adventure.

Our programmes are tailored to align with each school’s curriculum, age group, and desired outcomes, ensuring that every experience is meaningful and impactful. Led by our highly experienced instructors in small groups, we prioritise personalised attention, safety, and positive student development at every step.

At OrcaNation, we weave the three elements of ‘Creativity’, ‘Activity’, and ‘Service’ into every CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) programme, inspiring students to make meaningful contributions to society while pushing the boundaries of their learning. Our focus on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) ensures each experience is not only personally enriching but also impactful on a global scale.

By embracing challenges and reflecting on their experiences, students on our CAS and Service learning programmes can enhance their interpersonal skills and become lifelong learners, equipped to make a difference.

At OrcaNation, we bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world experiences through our comprehensive field programmes, designed specifically for international schools. Our field staff boasts extensive knowledge of major Biology, Geography, and Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS) curricula, ensuring each programme meets the highest educational standards.

We support students every step of the way on their fieldwork journey, from inspiring inquiries about their environment to developing research questions, training in data collection and analysis, and assisting in the preparation of their first draft write-ups. By immersing students in various ecosystems, they gain hands-on understanding and practical experience, enhancing their knowledge through direct engagement with the natural world.

We offer both introductory courses to fieldwork techniques and residential trips tailored to facilitate Internal Assessment (IA) and coursework requirements for iGCSE, A-level, AP, and IB. Our programmes are customised to meet the specific needs of each school group, incorporating a variety of subjects and non-fieldwork activities to create a well-rounded educational experience that addresses diverse learning objectives.

At OrcaNation, we believe that the ocean is the ultimate classroom, and our Scuba for Schools programmes are designed to inspire students through the wonders of snorkelling and scuba diving. Our courses enable students and teachers to earn PADI certifications and explore the underwater world, while enhancing their understanding of marine ecosystems and increasing their ocean literacy.

Whether run as a dive club, ECA, CCA or holiday club, we can customise our dive programs to suit your school’s unique requirements and the capabilities of participants. From introductory dive experiences to advanced training, and bespoke dive trips, each program is delivered to the highest industry standards, ensuring safety and quality at every step.

At OrcaNation, we offer a diverse range of programmes tailored to meet the standards of the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award and the National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA). Our offerings cover all five categories – Volunteering, Physical, Skills, Expedition, and Residential – enabling students to fulfil the requirements for Bronze, Silver, and Gold certifications (location dependent).

Each programme is thoughtfully designed to provide participants with meaningful, challenging experiences that foster personal growth, resilience, and a deep connection to the natural world.

Our School Holiday Camps are designed to ignite curiosity, foster friendships, and create unforgettable experiences for children aged 6 to 18. During the school holiday season, we offer a diverse array of programmes that cater to a variety of interests and age groups, where participants can engage in hands-on activities that promote teamwork, communication, and leadership skills while exploring the wonders of the natural world.

From day-long “eco-adventure” outings to immersive week-long residential camps abroad, our offerings ensure that every child finds an adventure that suits their passions.

Conservation and sustainability are woven into the very fabric of our educational mission. We believe that the most profound way to inspire the next generation is by engaging students in meaningful projects that leave a lasting legacy for our planet. Our conservation-focused initiatives are designed not only to educate students about pressing environmental issues but also to empower them to take action that will positively impact the health of our oceans and ecosystems for years to come.

We collaborate closely with schools, NGOs and charities to develop bespoke legacy projects that connect with schools’ missions and values, resonate with students and faculty. and align with learning objectives.

There are no formal internship programmes currently running at OrcaNation.

We strongly believe in the power of young people, who bring fresh ideas, creativity and energy, and have so much to offer in building a more sustainable future. Supporting and inspiring the next generation is an important part of OrcaNation’s mission.
