Key Trip Themes
We provide experiential learning that is meaningful, relevant and engaging. Our Key Trip Themes help you to build a programme with the learning objectives you want. You can choose the themes that match your desired learning objectives or we can design a new theme for your programme, and our team will build an itinerary packed with relevant and age-appropriate activities.

Activities
Once you have chosen a theme we will work with you to create a bespoke suite of activities tailored to the age and level of your students, the duration of the camp or workshop, intertwined with messages from the appropriate educational modules.
Our activities range from engaging environmental efforts like beach clean-ups, ecosystem restoration projects, and reef and marine conservation, to thrilling adventures such as fun diving, guided snorkelling, kayaking, jungle trekking, and stand-up paddleboarding.
We also offer educational experiences including community science programs, conservation courses, and plastic awareness workshops, as well as creative and mindfulness activities like nature-based art workshops and local craft workshops.
For team-building, we provide raft building, scavenger hunts, and other games and activities designed to foster teamwork and leadership.
Learning Modules
Our flexible educational modules allow you the freedom to choose how OrcaNation programmes can best integrate with your overall learning objectives. We work with professors, marine biologists, ecologists and other professionals who are experts in their fields to create unique, impactful and memorable modules.

The material can be delivered by an OrcaNation school specialist to fit with your term times, curriculum and age groups, or we can develop modules suitable for self-delivery.
Scuba for Schools
At OrcaNation, we believe that the ocean is the ultimate classroom, and our Scuba for Schools programmes are designed to inspire students through the wonders of snorkelling and scuba diving. Our courses enable students and teachers to earn PADI certifications and explore the underwater world, while enhancing their understanding of marine ecosystems and increasing their ocean literacy.
Whether run as a dive club, ECA, CCA or holiday club, we can customise our dive programs to suit your school’s unique requirements and the capabilities of participants. From introductory dive experiences to advanced training, and bespoke dive trips, each program is delivered to the highest industry standards, ensuring safety and quality at every step.
Outdoor Education & Experiential Learning

Science and Fieldwork
At OrcaNation, we bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world experiences through our comprehensive field programmes, designed specifically for international schools. Our field staff boasts extensive knowledge of major Biology, Geography, and Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS) curricula, ensuring each programme meets the highest educational standards.
We support students every step of the way on their fieldwork journey, from inspiring inquiries about their environment to developing research questions, training in data collection and analysis, and assisting in the preparation of their first draft write-ups. By immersing students in various ecosystems, they gain hands-on understanding and practical experience, enhancing their knowledge through direct engagement with the natural world.
We offer both introductory courses to fieldwork techniques and residential trips tailored to facilitate Internal Assessment (IA) and coursework requirements for iGCSE, A-level, AP, and IB. Our programmes are customised to meet the specific needs of each school group, incorporating a variety of subjects and non-fieldwork activities to create a well-rounded educational experience that addresses diverse learning objectives.

Conservation Activities
We actively participate in and support marine conservation efforts, such as coral reef monitoring, mangrove planting, and wildlife protection. These projects are designed to protect endangered species, promote biodiversity, and restore critical ecosystems that are essential to the health of our planet.

Environmental Education
Through our educational modules, we raise awareness about the importance of conservation and sustainability. We teach participants about the impacts of climate change, pollution, and overfishing, empowering them to make informed decisions that contribute to a more sustainable future.
Safety and Child Safeguarding
Safety and child safeguarding are our top priorities at OrcaNation. Our team designs programmes that meet the strictest HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment and Quality) and child safeguarding standards of International Schools.

Our rigorous hiring and training process ensures all OrcaNation instructors are highly professional and experienced.
Every team member undergoes annual Child Safeguarding Training, with our policy developed in partnership with International Child Protection Advisors and select school partners.
All OrcaNation instructors are first-aid trained; our dive team members are certified Emergency First Responders, with Master Scuba Diver Trainers serving as EFR trainers.
We implement robust safety measures, including extensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Risk Assessments for every activity we undertake.
Each activity site has an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) addressing potential emergencies such as floods, fires, lightning, sickness, and injuries.
All equipment, including SCUBA gear, is serviced per manufacturers' guidelines and regularly checked for wear and tear, replacing as needed.
We maintain low instructor-to-student ratios to ensure the best and safest experience for participants.
Extensive planning goes into each program in collaboration with our schools to ensure comprehensive support and effective execution.
We conduct in-depth reviews of our offerings to continually learn and enhance our programs.
Background checks are conducted in accordance with standards proposed by Tim Gerrish of International Child Protection Advisors, registered in the UK and advisors to many international schools globally.
