Once again, we would like to give a shout out to everyone who gained a PADI scuba certification and became new scuba divers with Orca Scuba this September.
Congratulations to all of our new scuba divers!
If you did a course with us and did not get a mention, send us an email and let us know.

Mark completed his PADI Rescue course. He has been diving for many years and finally decided to do the Rescue. He was fantastic at thinking on his feet (especially during the unforeseen entanglement exercise) and calming down stressed divers. Hats off to you, sir!
Tim, from Australia, is the cousin of our very own instructor Britney. It took her years to convince him to learn how to dive and he finally decided to bite the bullet and do his Open Water course. He had loads of practice with the mask removal-and-replacement skill (he’s now a pro) as he had problems with many of the masks and had to keep replacing them. He is now a pro at mask removal and replacement. His favourite part of the course, other than spending time with his amazing cousin, was swimming through big schools of fish under our jetty on Rawa!
Nicola graced the shores of Rawa again this month when she came back to us for her PADI Advanced Open Water course. She has caught the dive bug for sure! She loved her night dive (she saw a SHARK!) and writing her name backwards (literally) on her deep dive. Well done, Nicky!

Angela had some anxiety following a bad diving experience, but was a complete superstar when it came to conquering her fears. She even had time to improve her skills on her Advanced Open Water course. Congratulations, Angela! We are looking forward to having you back on Rawa in a few weeks’ time.
Gaz claimed to have seen a kitchen sink during our wreck dive. We have seen some strange things while diving, especially on wrecks, but maybe we will put this one down to gas narcosis! Great job on the improvement of your buoyancy, Gaz, and congratulations on becoming a PADI Advanced Open Water diver! We know you and your dive-master dad, Paul, will be enjoying many dives together.
Stay tuned for the next post where we will see how all the diving heavy weights from SJII school got on!
If you want to join them, contact us now and sign up for a PADI course and see your own smiling face up here next month. Contact us at [email protected] now!
